Sports and movement have been part of my life since I was 3 years old. Being able to move is a gift, one I fully appreciate and will never take for granted. As a licensed therapist since 2004 I aim to restore individual movement patterns by improving muscle imbalances and eliminating unwanted compensatory patterns. Its not practice that makes perfect...its PERFECT PRACTICE that makes perfect.
Having been a competitive gymnast and avid athlete, I have dealt with injuries ranging from a broken leg and torn rotator cuffs, to concussions and headaches. My injury history has afforded me an insight into the pain my clients feel, as well as the treatments that help the most. Combining my athletic history with several years spent sitting in graduate school at Washington University in St Louis, I have also learned to appreciate the effects of a long days work at an office and the effects prolonged sitting or standing can have on the body. Empathy and experience are vital to the rehabilitative experience.
Empathy, Understanding, Experience. I make it my job to ensure we maximize our time together to ensure that you not only feel better, but that you feel empowered to avoid slipping back. I will provide you with the knowledge and fundamentals to further your health and improve your overall quality of life.
